Frequently Asked Questions

Many of the questions we get can be answered by reading our student handbook. This document contains information about our student policies and procedures (including: complaints and appeals, student code of conduct, information and privacy, payments and refunds, Flexible learning, Plagiarism, extensions and cancellations, etc.). Following are some of our FAQs:

Q. I am stuck on an assessment item…How do I get help?

A. You have unlimited phone and email support available from your trainer. You can ask questions and seek feedback on your draft assessment prior to submission. Email queries to: student@adapteducation.com.au. Enter your name and the unit code on the subject line of the email.

Q. How do I submit an assessment?

A. Online students will submit their assessments from within their eLearning portal. The preferred method for correspondence students is to email the assessment. If you have multiple files try to send them in a zip folder. The maximum file size to email is 10MB. Alternatively assessment can be posted to PO Box 5830 Manly QLD 4179.

Q. How can I apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)?

A. Contact your trainer and detail any past experience or study you have completed that demonstrates your competence. If your trainer agrees that RPL is possible, they will forward an RPL kit for you to complete and submit.

Q. What documents do I need for my practical placement?
A. Documents will vary depending on which course you are enrolled in – if you have not received practical placement documents contact your trainer to request them. Generally you will need to have:
  • A vocational placement agreement signed and returned to Adapt prior to commencing the placement.
  • A practical placement observation completed by your supervisor and returned to Adapt at the conclusion of the placement.
  • Each course will also have a vocational placement guide that provides useful information about preparing for and successfully completing your placement.
