Course Details
  • Training modes for this qualification include: self paced online.
  • This course is broken into three clusters, each with three units. Once your enrolment has been processed and payment received, the first three units will be immediately available via our interactive online portal.
  • You will have unlimited access to your trainer through phone, email and instant messaging. We pride ourselves on having quick response times to every query. Online study means that you can study at times and locations that suit you.
Funding

Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) is an independent industry funded body supporting employers, workers, apprentices and career seekers in the building and construction industry.

The Higher Level Skills (HLS) General Construction program aims to provide existing workers, including relevant clerical, administration and professional workers whose employers are in the Queensland Building and Construction Industry, with an opportunity to increase their knowledge and skills, provide pathways to further learning and open up opportunities to move into higher level and paraprofessional roles.

To be eligible for CSQ subsidised training courses, participants:

(a) must be:

  • an Australian or New Zealand citizen; or
  • a permanent resident of Australia; or
  • a holder of a refugee or humanitarian visa

(b) and must:

  • permanently residing in Queensland; or be permanently employed in Queensland

(c) and must be:

  • an eligible worker, including relevant clerical, administration and professional staff whose employer is part of the building and construction industry; or
  • an unemployed eligible worker

(d) and must not be:

  • an employee of any Authority (excluding employees of an Indigenous Council that is a Principal Contractor); or
  • eligible under the CSQ Apprentice Advance+ Program; or
  • currently enrolled and participating in a school program; or
  • contracted trainers and assessors or existing workers of any RTO; or
  • already funded by an Authority or other such source for delivery of the same training being undertaken as part of this program; or
  • previously been funded under this program in the same program period.

Duration

You will have up to 6 months to complete each cluster (18 months in total) however you are able to fast track if you choose to. As a guide, someone spending 4 hrs per week will comfortably complete the assessment component for each cluster in this timeframe.

Payment plan: $1000 upfront + $209 per month for 12 months

IFA Subscriber Members
Upfront payment: $3950
Payment plan: $1000 upfront + $246 per month for 12 months

Non-Members
Upfront payment: $4150
Payment plan: $1000 upfront + $263 per month for 12 months

CSQ Funded Participant
Upfront payment: $0
Payment plan: $0

  • Fees are inclusive of all course resources and administration fees.
  • Enrolments cannot be accepted from international students or those in Australia on a student or education visa.

All payment terms and conditions are agreed to in a direct debit agreement and are in line with National Vocational standards.

Upfront Payments can be made by credit card, bank transfer, cheque, money order or cash. Payment plans are processed with a direct debit system.

Requirements
  • It is an expectation that you will have access to a computer and the internet to complete the assessment requirements of the course. Please discuss with Adapt if this is an issue as strategies can be put in place to assist.
  • It is expected that students have well developed Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills. Students who do not meet the minimum LLN requirements for this course will be provided a range of options and strategies to assist.
