Flexible training programs designed and taught by teachers specifically for schools targeting a diverse range of students with an interest in the Automotive Industry.  We pride ourselves on quality training that aligns with school outcomes and student needs.

Course details:

  • Duration: 4 incursion days per term for 1 year (or structured to suit school timetable) + time scheduled to gain relevant experience performing Automotive duties (i,e, Exercise Instructor).
  • Cost: Free for students who have not accessed VETiS funding or ‘Fee for Service’ can be negotiated dependant on enrolment numbers.
  • Where: All training programs are conducted on school grounds during normal school hours.
  • Equipment:  All resources and equipment required to complete the course are provided.
  • Work Experience: Experience with external organisations can be arranged.
  • Future Pathways: Identifying and inspecting mechanical and electrical components and systems of light vehicles, heavy vehicles, outdoor power equipment, bicycles, marine craft and motorcycles. This qualification also covers the skills and knowledge required to perform minor maintenance and repair of an automotive vehicle body. The range of technical skills and knowledge is limited.

Delivery Options

RTO DELIVERY: All enrolment paperwork, training and assessment is conducted by Adapt with no administrative or teaching burdens placed on school staff. The course is generally delivered 4 days per term over one year. Other options may include delivery over 6 months, delivery over exam block, built into timetable, etc.

PARTNERED DELIVERY: Schools wanting to deliver the qualification to a large cohort may seek a partnering arrangement. This involves the school delivering Adapt’s quality program and utilising our online system with an approved “in-house” teacher conducting all of the training and assessment.  Ongoing administrative support and professional development of the nominated trainer is inclusive in this option.

SHARED DELIVERY: The school and RTO share delivery and assessment responsibilities. For example, Adapt Education may deliver key sessions on campus and be responsible for all assessment marking to reduce the burden on school staff however an approved “in-house” teacher may be responsible for day-to-day delivery and support. Minimum group numbers apply for this mode.

Course Requirements

  • If you are already working in a role that involves Automotive Vocational Preparation, a practical placement will generally not be required. In instances where a student is not currently in a relevant job role, a practical placement of 100hrs should be arranged. Adapt Education can arrange your placement for you or you can arrange your own.
  • In most instances you will have up to 12 months to complete this qualification. Being self-paced study you can enrol at any time and progress at any speed you like without the stress of due dates and rigid class time tables.
  • Students receiving government funding may be obligated to complete the program in a shorter time frame. These timeframes will be discussed and agreed to in your Training Plan prior to course commencement.

Payment plans are offered at no additional cost! That’s right, you DO NOT pay more if you opt for a payment plan. All Fees can be incorporated into a payment plan. You nominate the payment periods (i.e. weekly, fortnightly or monthly). You nominate the amount you are comfortable paying (i.e. $50, $100, $200, etc.). The terms of each payment plan are nominated by you, then approved by us. All payment terms and conditions are agreed to in a direct debit agreement and are in line with National Vocational standards.

Upfront Payments can be made by credit card, bank transfer, cheque, money order or cash. Payment plans are processed with a direct debit system.
