First Aid & CPR Course
Learn the skills to provide a first aid response or CPR in a range of situations until more advanced care arrives.

First Aid Course Delivery
The theory component of this course is delivered through our online student portal. Students are required to complete the learning material and the theory assessment prior to attending a 1 (one) day workshop, where they will complete the practical component of this course.
Locations may include: Eagleby, Pacific Pines, Ipswich, North Lakes, Wynnum
Contact us for dates and venues. Corporate bookings are welcome with training able to be conducted at a venue provided by the client.
*All resources have been developed in line with ARC Guidelines. Recommended renewal is every 3 years for first aid or every 12 months for CPR.
Course Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for the following Nationally Recognised units of competency.
- HLTAID011 Provide first aid
- HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support
- HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
Entry Requirements for First Aid Course
- It is an expectation that you will have access to a computer/tablet/phone and the internet. Please discuss with Adapt if this is an issue as strategies can be put in place to assist.
- It is expected that students have well developed Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills. Students who do not meet the minimum LLN requirements for this course will be provided a range of options and strategies to assist.
- Participants must have the physical ability to provide resuscitation. This involves kneeling on the floor, performing uninterrupted CPR for at least 2 (two) minutes.

CPR Refresher Course
The Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines, recommends that CPR skills are renewed every 12 months. If you have completed the unit HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation within the last 12 months are are seeking to renew your certification for another 12 months, we can offer the CPR refresher course.
This course is generally offered in the SE QLD region. Contact us for upcoming dates and venues.
Course fee: $100 (or $90 for current Adapt Education students)
