Are you an emerging leader in your organisation? You may have existing qualifications and technical expertise in your field, but this does not necessarily make you a good leader. In this qualification the focus is on providing leadership and guidance to others and taking responsibility for the effective functioning and performance of a team and its work outcomes. Previously known as the Frontline Management course, this qualification is suitable if you take the first line of management in any organisation/industry and are wanting to further develop your management and leadership skills.

Course Details
  • Training modes for this qualification include: self paced online, self paced correspondence, or blended delivery
  • This course includes practical components, you must therefore already be working in a role that involves coordinating work tasks and others.
  • This qualification is approved for Commonwealth Incentive traineeship funding for eligible candidates. Refer to the Government funding page on this website to find out more about Commonwealth incentives and if other government incentives or Centrelink payments may apply.

In most instances you will have up to 2 years to complete this qualification. Being self-paced study you can enrol at any time and progress at any speed you like without the stress of due dates and rigid class time tables. Study duration depends on the hours you put in and your skill level. As a guide, someone dedicating 8 hours per week to study, could expect to complete the assessment component of the course in 6 – 8 months.

Note: students receiving government funding may be obligated to complete the program in a shorter time frame:

  • Centrelink (education supplement): Full time 29 weeks, part time 58 weeks
  • Traineeship: Full time up to 24 months, part time up to 48 months

Payment plans are offered at no additional cost! That’s right, you DO NOT pay more if you opt for a payment plan. All Fees can be incorporated into a payment plan. You nominate the payment periods (i.e. weekly, fortnightly or monthly). You nominate the amount you are comfortable paying (i.e. $50, $100, $200, etc.). The terms of each payment plan are nominated by you, then approved by us. All payment terms and conditions are agreed to in a direct debit agreement and are in line with National Vocational standards.

Upfront Payments can be made by credit card, bank transfer, cheque, money order or cash. Payment plans are processed with a direct debit system.

  • It is an expectation that you will have access to a computer and the internet to complete the assessment requirements of the course. Please discuss with Adapt if this is an issue as strategies can be put in place to assist.
  • It is expected that students have well developed Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills. Students who do not meet the minimum LLN requirements for this course will be provided a range of options and strategies to assist.
