Schools employ a wide range of staff, many of which are in non teaching roles. With such a broad array of job roles it is difficult to know where to go when it comes to the training and development of school support staff. Not anymore!
Adapt Education has created a central hub where Principals, Deputy Principals, Business Service Managers and other school leaders can locate Nationally Recognised qualifications suited to their staff. Each qualification listed has been contextualised to better relate to the policies, procedures and systems found in a school environment.
The following qualifications are offered for school support staff (click on the qualification for more info):
The financial cost of these courses may be offset by the many government incentives and programs that are available. Some funding is available to school based staff. The course outlines indicate whether a course is eligible for incentives. Funding/subsidies are currently being obtained through traineeships, Centrelink (Education Supplement), Certificate 3 Guarantee (Qld only) and the Higher Level Skills subsidy (Qld only). View the Government funding page on this site for more details and information on eligibility.
Payment plans are offered. Payment can be made by credit card, bank transfer, cheque, money order or cash. We may be able to meet special requests such as splitting bills over different financial years. Discounts may apply for group bookings, upfront payment by employers, or RPL.
View the fee schedule on the Adapt Education website.
Please refer to the course outlines to view study options available for each qualification. Study options may include one of the following or a combination of the following:
Generally study will be self paced*, meaning that participants can study when they like and are not locked into set assessment due dates. Participants can fast track their studies or take the maximum permitted time. Training Plans can be developed in consultation with employers to ensure that training goals can be achieved.* note: specific timeframes may apply where funding is being received.
Many school support staff have been working in their role for years without recognition of their skills in the form of a qualification. Having staff skills formally recognised can contribute to HR objectives and capability frameworks, reduced insurance premiums, reduced risk exposure and improved staff morale and performance. All qualifications listed on this page may be completed through an RPL or assessment only pathway.
Participants have unlimited access to phone and email support with their trainer for any queries throughout the course. We can adjust our delivery or assessment methods for students with specific needs.
All students receive a full course induction at commencement and unlimited phone and email support throughout their course.
Online: Study from home or anywhere in the world! Access to interactive learning materials, video tutorials and online support groups are just a part of Adapt’s holistic on-line training.
Correspondence: receive a portfolio including workbooks, study resources and assessments at the commencement of the course. Correspondence training enables you to study anywhere without having to be connected to the internet all the time.
Blended: benefit from a combination of face-to-face sessions, online and/or correspondence learning modes. Great for those who are nervous about getting back into study.
Onsite: available to corporate groups and schools by negotiation.
