Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
Are you looking to commence work in the construction industry?
Any person commencing paid or unpaid work in a construction environment must hold a General Construction Induction Training card (White Card).
Course Overview
This course will cover the following:
- Identify health and safety legislative requirements of construction work.
- Identify construction hazards and risk control measures.
- Identify health and safety communication and reporting processes.
- Identify incident and emergency response procedures.
Course Delivery
The theory component of this course is delivered through our online student portal. Students are required to complete the learning material and the theory assessment prior to attending a face to face session with their trainer, where they will complete the practical component of this course. All resources and equipment provided.
Location: Wynnum, every Tuesday between 3-5pm. Bookings are essential.
Course outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, you will be issued with the following:
- Construction Safety ‘White Card’ (required to access any construction zone).
- Statement of attainment for CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry.
Entry Requirements
- It is an expectation that you will have access to a computer/tablet/phone and the internet. Please discuss with Adapt if this is an issue as strategies can be put in place to assist.
- It is expected that students have well developed Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills. Students who do not meet the minimum LLN requirements for this course will be provided a range of options and strategies to assist.
