Course Code: CHC40221
This course is aimed at teacher aides (Education Support Officers) who are required to work at times without direct supervision from a teacher. The course will qualify you to work from Kindy – Yr12 in public or private schools. The Certificate IV covers the skills and knowledge required to successfully perform the range of tasks expected of a teacher aide and is inclusive of a special education setting.
Study Modes
All study modes are supported by webinars and optional web conference tutorial sessions. Webinars cover the key concepts of a module and give you a head start on your assessment. If you are not able to attend the live webinar, you can view recordings at a time that suits you. Our tutorial sessions are ideal for students who have learning difficulties, study anxiety, “procrastination-itis”, or simply those who feel they would benefit from a supportive and structured environment.

The Certificate III & Certificate IV in School Based Education Support qualifications do have a lot of overlap. If you have completed the Certificate III in School Based Education Support, we do offer a bridging program up to the Certificate IV. This means that instead of completing all 17 units, you just complete the gaps between the Certificate III and the Certificate IV. Our bridging program will save you months of time spent on assessment and at only $980* (or as low as $50 for Higher Level Skills subsidised participants) is an affordable way to upgrade your qualifications. Please contact an Adapt Education staff member to discuss if this option may apply to you.
