We offer flexible training programs designed and taught by teachers specifically for schools targeting a diverse range of students with an interest in the Construction Industry.  We pride ourselves on quality training that aligns with school outcomes and student needs. 

Course details:

  • Duration: 20 days – (1 day per week for 2 Terms or to suit school – see delivery options below for more details)
  • VETiS Funding: Adapt Education is an approved Skills Assure Supplier for the QLD Government through the Certificate 3 Guarantee VETiS funding program. Enrolments for Semester 2, 2025 are being accepted. The QLD Government is transitioning to a new funding model known as Career Ready. Enrolments for 2026 VETiS funding will be accepted once Adapt Education has received confirmation of approval for the new Career Ready VETiS funding program (expected in Sept 2025).
  • Cost: Free for eligible QLD students who have not accessed VETiS funding or ‘Fee for Service’ can be negotiated dependant on enrolment numbers. 
  • Where: All training programs are conducted on school grounds during normal school hours. Note: no external work placement is required.
  • Practical: Students obtain industry skills through the completion of various construction projects on school grounds. Projects may include standard course construction projects or the school may negotiate a real onsite project such as construction of table, gazebo, seating, room fitout, fence, retaining wall and concreting. 
  • Equipment:  All student resources, tools, building materials and student personal protective equipment is provided.
  • Future Pathways: Exclusive partnerships with industry which can lead to apprenticeship and employment opportunities in construction trades such as carpentry, plastering, brick laying, stonemasonry,  joinery and shopfitting, etc.

Delivery Options

RTO DELIVERY

All enrolment paperwork, training and assessment is conducted by Adapt with no administrative or teaching burdens placed on school staff. The course is generally delivered 1 day per week over 1 semester. other options include: delivery over 12 months, delivery over exam block, etc. $0 for VETiS funded students with Fee For Service by negotiation. 

PARTNERED DELIVERY

Schools wanting to deliver the qualification to a large fee for service cohort or wanting to run the program on a dedicated line on their timetable may find it more suitable deliver the program through a partnering arrangement. This involves the school delivering Adapt’s quality program and utilising our online system with an approved “in-house” teacher.  Ongoing administrative support and professional development of the nominated trainer is inclusive in this option. $0 for VETiS funded students or Fee For Service from $640 per person with a minimum cohort of 10.

  • CPC10120 Certificate I in Construction
  • General Construction Induction Training (White Card) – required to access any construction site
  • Depending on elective options – First Aid Certificate or Working at heights certificate may be included
  • 3 QCE points
  • Access to industry employment opportunities
  • Completion of numerous 1st year apprenticeship modules
